As part of the new PSD2 regulations, banks are required to implement Strong Customer Authentication

This means that multiple factors of authentication (such as a code sent to your phone) are needed to connect via Credential Sharing. This would mean that you would have to enter a code every time you want to sync, which is not something we want people to have to do.

Due to this, we have begun migrating users to Open Banking, which is much more reliable, secure and does not suffer from these problems.

To migrate, please visit your settings page, and remove the Data Source, which is marked with a red "CS". You can then run through the setup process again here, and connect via Open Banking.

If you are interested in reading more detail around this, our data provider have published a blog post on it.

Unfortunately, some banks such as HSBC have enforced SCA without finishing their Open Banking APIs fully, which means for a short period of time, we won't be able to support all account and card types from specific banks.
